Hey Elita,
So good to hear you in the podcast. Sorry I couldn’t get together with you after the adda. Time flies in accelerated speed in Dk. I still think of the adda in the DS roof top with you, Ahmede, Hana, Asha apa – one of the most fun times I had in Dk. You know what – I did go to a Habib concert while in Dhaka. It was in Uttara club on Dec 23 I think.
Looking forward to Raaga’s next album – I’m sure it’ll be a bumper hit!!

“Bashi Shune aar Kaaj nai” is a very famous song, and i think EVERYBODY knows that it is Sachin Dev Burman’s song, not Partho Borua’s. Once he sang it on a tv show. felt good to read to all the comments.. thank you all and to those with the suggestions, observations, complaints… thank you for listening to my music.. i will definitely put in ur inputs to come up with better work both on stage and off..
for those who are not aware… but i am also a journalist for the daily star.. and recently got involved in the anti-piracy movement which started here in the country.
i know for a fact how resourceful polapain.com happens to be, especially for the people who live abroad and love music, movies, natoks… basically all the wonderful elements that make up our beautiful bangali culture.
however, many see the uploading of albums and other forms of works as an offence. there are many who have started to work strongly against piracy, which also includes online resources. many big time musicians in BD including sumon bhai, musicians from the bands miles and other bands have spoken against this, including myself.
one solution happens to be the acquiring of proper permission from the owners of these materials accordingly and also getting the music listners and art lovers buying the stuff from the websites at a very low price. maybe there r other legalities involved as well.
my question as a journalist, what do u polapain from polapain.com think about it and do u plan to take any action whatsoever?
