Ok. First time when i heard the podcast, i forwarded the mila part to get into Romel bhaier conversation. Now I am hearing this, I have some comments.
She is a good singer and she gave quite a hit numbers to the musical audience she is in. Her story about music shows us her determination about her true love, music. She is frank, she is free, and most of all she is free of nekami. Really I changed my attitude about her a lot after hearing this.
Again, this is not mar Mila’s image, but as she gave her answers to my query about her lip sync, I would like to make some comments. As a singer, certainly you would get lots of love along with certain portion of criticism. Its nice to see, she didn’t hide from it, but frankly answered the question, when even it was not asked. Really, I am getting to love her.
About the comment, well, i can’t agree with her. At the beginning she said, “award show te musician nei na”, or “TV show te live kora sombhob na”. While I agree with the TV shows, not totally about the award show, where you have an live audience. Yes, they don’t hire musicians to play with you in award shows, but all musicians play in award shows do another thing. May be “karaoke” will ring the bell?
This award show and tv show will give you an idea about she only does lip sync in award show and tv. then, she confessed she does lip sync in some numbers because she is human. Yes, I can totally understand her situation. But, If I were in her position (god save me, i don’t wanna to be her position), I would choose select my priority. While performance along with lip sinc may earn some hearts, certainly it will disappoint many cause thats not what they are for.
MP, when madonna and brittney do lip sync they do equal criticisms, what an artist should get. Performance and dancing along with singing are an excellent addition of the charisma of a singer, but you have to remember the main objective of this, “singing”. She lip sync “two (not sure about the exact number)” songs along with giving voices to the rest of the songs, but her preference should be in stop dancing for two songs to save the energy.
I can’t agree with Shiyal’s comment about going to the concert for seeing the performance (I am deliberately choosing the word performance over dancing) , rather than staying home and listen the CD. While its true for most of the concert I go or would like to go, but it’s kind of demeaning for the womanhood what type of genre Mila is in. again, I am not criticizing the performance, but to go to a concert for seeing performance only (as the song is played by the master of technology, compact disc).
If you give your ideas and view about this thing that will be great. and, please if you criticize me, criticize me with logic.
